So AMD has confirmed we will see AMD Radeon SSD's, and they already have a stupid logo for it, as well as updated logos for other products:

So, after the failure of Radeon Memory to gain any kind of ground because of high prices and high latency, they really do want to make, or rebadge, it hasn't been said, SSDs to go up against the established kings of OCZ, Samsung, and half a dozen others...And yet they still won't switch their processors over to LGA.

I don't know about you, but it'd take both high performance and low cost to get me to consider AMD over OCZ SSDs. Also, here are the other new logos:

3 day old news of course, but it hasn't been posted here. Confirmed on uk.hardwareinfo.com

Step 1: Throw excrement at wall.

Step 2: Check for adhesion.

Step 3: Repeat step 1.

Fun fact: I almost got suspended in high school for using the word Excrement instead of Experiment on a lab report, stupid autocorrecting spell check at the time.

But either way, AMD has a bad habit of putting unfinished and half thought out products on the market. AMD 4x4, generation one Phenoms, Brisbane, AMD Radeon memory, and the HD 2000 series video cards, to name 5.

AMD Radeon Memory? AMD Radeon Solid State Drive? Radeon is a graphics card! They seem to be depending on that name too much.

I don't see how AMD would come up with it's own SSD with it's limited budget, and like you said, go up against OCZ, Samsung, INTEL SSDs. If they rebadge one, I'd rather just go with the cheaper name brand. I don't see how this is going to work out for AMD. Agreed, the memory was and is a failure.

VERY few custom builders think "I have an AMD CPU, I need AMD everything else as well. " And the OEMs just get cheap memory. So huh?

Funny that you almost got suspended, though! That seems a little harsh.
