My HD 3870 X2 was working fine, then one time the screen started flickering and then minimzes, after maximizing it the screen is blank but the game is still running with sounds and everything.

Turned off the PC and removed the VGA card, then put them back and started it, 4 big vertical lines appear. Thought I didn't put it well, although I'm sure I did. Turned it off and on many times till it worked. Few days later it happened, on and off again till it worked. Finally it remained like that.

I'm sad because I know I've lost a great VGA card. Is there anything that can be done to fix such problem?

eBay it as not working and buy you a new one. You can also try to bake it in the oven, but the HD 3000 series is legacy and there are $100 cards which give you better performance at a much lower power draw and noise level.
