To be specific, SEIKI's 4K TV is a 2160p 120Hz LED HDTV with 3840 x 2160 resolution. It has a 5000:1 contrast ratio, 6.5ms response time, comes with 3 HDMI ports and a VGA port. You might not be able to watch that much 4K content right now but for around the same price as a regular ol' 1080p screen?

I'll still stick with my 42" 1080p Vizio. Aside from Pay-Per-View and maybe a few specialized channels, everything is still broadcast in 720p or 1080i, if not still 480i or 480p. And I don't even own a Blu-Ray player.

Ah, I can imagine telling my grandkids, "Bah, you kids have it so easy with your 4K ... back in my day we had to settle for 1080p!"

LOL...  try a 42" Plasma...  which as actually 1024x768 non square pixels (which most 720p plasmas were back in 2006)...  Although since I started outputting that resolution at 71.928 Hz my picture quality has never been better. (trick is to set your player to output a 16:9 aspect ratio even though the pixel count is 4:3 and let the non square pixels do the conversion)
