Dear AMD,

As you know, most of your high end graphics cards 7970  and 7990 are consumed by the CryptoCurrency crowd.  An average operator will have 5 to 100 cards of these models.

Most users who purchase these cards are basically concerned with just a few parameters.

Power consumption

Processor speed

Heat dissipation.

Max shaders available

Could it be possible to make a Card with low memory 512-768 Mb?  Be able to underclock memory to 300-500 Mhz? Reduce hardware acceleration for video game specific instructions.  Slow down bus speed or decrease bandwith of PCI-e to 4X?  Smaller form factor but still achieve low heat at ghz+ engine speeds?  primarily we are using openCL for these programs and require control of the various clocking parameters.

ASIC hashing will take a large bite out of AMD profit on high end video cards.

AMD should really adapt to this new condition and produce GPU cards that are affordable for this nitch market. At current prices for tahiti cards it would be 10X mor expensive to compete.
