Dear Sir,

I quite wondering. I install winxp sp3 to my laptop then install driver for all of them but there is no sound. So I take a look at device manager I found AMD High definition audio device ( it 's working properly) but at >control panel>sound and audio device properties , there is no audio device.

Hardware is fine because when I boot with windows 7 pro they works.

Please advise me. I got driver from download at amd website.

It's the audio controller only for HDMI devices, if you were to connect a TV or a receiver to the laptop, it would show up. You are probably missing drivers for your motherboards sound card. Visit your laptops driver page on manufacturers website and search for audio drivers. I would have given a download link if you had specified the model.
