Hi there,

Any tabs in IE11 hang when loading any AMD link, including forums. Deleted temp files, cookies etc. No problem loading up with Chrome.

Any ideas?

Yup...click compatibility mode. I've been using it for several months...no issues.

Thanks for the replies,

Compatibility didn't amount to a hill of beans for this amd.com.

It's not really a problem with this site. I can get to AMD running "iexplore -extoff", but then all the drop-down combo lists etc don't populate and scripts don't run.

I've disabled everything including java 32 that wasn't supposed to be on IE 64 bit. But it may not be enough. If uninstalling 32 bit Java is the go, then it won't work with Chrome.

Back to social.msdn.microsoft.com then.

Well you have another problem somewhere. I have been using IE11 for Win7 since the beta. I had the same issues you describe which were cured by adding the site to the compatibility list. May have something to do with Java...couldn't say as I deleted all Java junk a year ago. Seems you like to jack around with changing things around alot, just by judging your 2 posts. Just know that there is no issue...you are the first to even bring it up. And with your fiddling, not a typical user/issue.

Hi stumped,

Solved: It turned out to be an older version of Adobe Flash in IE, updated > working.

Only wanted IE as it works with Free Download Manager for large file downloads on this dodgy line. (FDM doesn't work with Chrome)

Albeit, secured the 200mb driver update without FDM today: all smiles.
