Hello dear forum users,

I hope one of you can help me with this unusual request...

I'm looking for a solution to add a second screen to a setup consisting of a PC with a 2560x1600 screen. My problem is that this second screen has a native resolution of 1920x1200.

I was hoping to find a graphics card that would be able to scale my 2560x1600 desktop down to 1920x1200 and output those 1920x1200 via DVI or VGA while the primary screen still displays the WQXGA resolution.

Panning or extended desktop are not an option. I also have to maintain the resolution of the primary screen.

Does anybody know if this can be achieved?

Thank you!

Cloning assumes both screens have the same resolution, but perhaps a software solution would work here? UltraMon (maybe there are some freeware alternatives that can do that as well) can mirror the main monitor into the second screen at a downscaled resolution.
