Among investors in Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD  ) , there is a pretty continual discussion of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) either using AMD's technology more broadly -- Apple already uses AMD's workstation graphics cards in the Mac Pro -- or outright purchasing AMD. The question, then, is whether AMD would be a likely take-out candidate for Apple.

First it was Dell, now it's Apple...Intel would never allow Apple to buy out AMD.

Maybe if the kabani (And succesors) apus could outclock and outpreform (at least gpu wise)the Intel CPUs in iMacs and the Mac Mini, and AMD's ARM group proves its self on the consumer department, then they will become a option for the new low cost iMac and new Mac Mini assuming both continue. Also, apple buys many compaines.

Hi yes and Apple has people committing suicide in there factory's but rather than pay them more they put up net's. Very Sad company. The day I would have or recommend a apple product to any customer would be the day the world ended. LOL sorry but I feel strongly about this. Of course if you want to pay twice as much for a lesser product thats the way to go.
