I have been a nvidia user since 8 years ago when i upgraded from a ati radeon X1300 64MB and just now upgraded from 770 2gb to my upcoming R9 290 (i will use the 770 for dedicated physx and for 4k movies on my tv)

The reason for my change is that AMD's cards finally got some muscles in the performance for once and decided to get a 290 since it's good for my multi monitor gaming compared to a nvidia gpu for the same price.

And i just gotta say that the amd forums are WAY more different than nvidia's forums! This forum looks very simple compared

The difference in those 2 cards is minimal check this link for gpu benchmarks. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html . So do not be supprised when you dont see a huge difference in usage.

Well, is difference was reason enough for me

(memory bandwith and pixel rate)

Oh and it was a jump from 2gb to 4gb card so i can max out games even in eyefinity without ending up without any video memory left

Hi Silithas I use both AMD and Nvidia cards I am just wondering if you got your new card yet and how it is working. I would love one of the 295x2's but of course the wife wont let me LOL.
