A week ago built this computer

AMD FX 8320 with ASUS M5A99FX EVO R2.0 - MB & Cooler Master N500 Cabinet with front & Rear Fan.

I feel the stock fan is making too much noise with little load I felt. So I installed AMD Overdrive and did a stability test. After around 5 mins (after putting 100% load on all CPU 8 cores)the temp readings are like below

CPU Temp from (MB Sensor) - 68 C & CPU Temp (from CPU Sensor) - 59 C

I've attached the snapshot of CPUID HW Monitor; can someone tell me is this normal? I have put full load with AMD overdrive. I'll be using the machine to run couple of VMs.

That's pretty normal with the stock cooler under a stress test. I would recommend an aftermarket cooler if you will be taxing it close to 100% for extended periods, or if your ambient temps are 75°F or higher.

Thank you for the reply,

I'll be loading CPU at around 40-60% all the time (~15 hours) daily with 2 virtual machines... Since its summer here the average room temprature is always greater than 75 F for sure.

With the above load my machine is hitting

MB Sensor temp ~56 C (132 F) & CPU Temp of ~52 C (120 F)

I'm planning for a aftermarked cooler; any suggestion in budget aroud $50?
