A must. Even on a tablet Australis makes little sense, and using an ESR is of little help as it will soon also run into an Australis version. Unfortunately between all of the people with automatic upgrades in place, I do not foresee Australis becoming an native option which can be disabled.

I switched to Cyberfox 28 which is nearly identical to FF28 -  bye Australis!

I guess I understand wanting to switch up the interface every now and then or to optimize it for mobile viewing, however, what is with this assinine new idea in technology that it's fine to bar customers from choosing? Seriously, moving everything to mobile-optimized viewing is creating these stupid, basic looking things that you can't control anymore. And forcing crazy interface changes on users isn't a good way to keep customers.

It's pretty much the same concept which has been around for ages. Company (business, etc) A, B, and C all have product which pretty much perform the same or offer the same features, but with different appearances. Company B outsells Company A and C because their appearance clicks more with the public. Company A and C then move to make their products resemble Company B's. Pretty soon you have 3 products which pretty much differ only in their logos.

Amazing how much controversy the new Firefox is generating, or so it seems.  Me, I don't use FF that much anymore, but I do use it for this site as it seems to work better for some reason than IE or Chrome.  Have to admit I ... don't mind the new look.  But again, I don't use it much.
