I'm getting a new computer with a Radeon R9 280X graphics card and am interested in purchasing a 3D monitor. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best compatible models or will most brands work with most cards?

I'd rather put the money into a 4K IPS (or better) panel display. 3D is a gimmick.

The most inexpensive one is the Dell UltraSharp UP2414Q for a relatively inexpensive $800, that can do 4K at 60hz via HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort.

Granted it's just 24 inches (though in some ways that is a good thing). Its bigger brother, the 3214Q, gets you 9 inches more for $2500...
