I have problems to install Catalyst 12.8 with my HD 6870.

When i update Catalyst..reboot, Driver and CCC don't install

I have tried 12.7beta and 12.8 (manual download), uninstalling all AMD sofware, reboot or not reboot, installing 12.7 and 12.8..etc..

And only 12.6 works fine. I can install all with 12.6, 12.7 and 12.8, but not Driver and CCC with 12.7 and 12.8.

I sent a report, but i want try on forums. Thanks (Spain)

You need to furnish the information in "Please Read BEFORE Posting". There are too many variables that could lead to your issue.

When i update Catalyst..reboot, Driver and CCC don't install

Try this way:

1. Uninstall your catalyst via "Add\Remove" "Programs and features", reboot.

2. Clear of remnants with driver (sweeper) fusion,

http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion

Reboot.

3. Device manager > Video > delete Standard VGA, reboot.

4. Install Catalyst 12.8 WHQL:

x32 --> Download

x64 --> Download

Eset NOD32 detect "driver fusion" as Virus. ¿Toolbars or something?

Disable your antivirus while installing.

I've prefered clean manually.. ATI/AMD files and registry, (uninstalling first with ATI Catalyst option), and reboot..uninstalling all "display devices", and reinstalling 12.8

Installer works fine, reboot..but when i see information in CCC, it show versión: 12.3

This time Drivers has been installed but..version 12.3?

Did you have another graphics card installed prior to the 6870?

No.

I am trying clean and install 12.6, but i have problems, i try 12.8, and don't install driver.

I delete registry, files and all "graphic adapters" on Windows before install, etc.

I try leave 12.6 ..and wait to 12.9 or somethig..if i can't do nothing more.
