Hello, I've encountered a strange problem since I've installed windows 8 Customer Preview.

At first I've installed and configured windows 8 with the latest WHQL driver 12.8, and everything had been normal, fresh install no problem.

I saw that 12.11 is in beta stage so I've wanted to install it, but here comes the problem. I've uninstalled 12.8 and tried to install the newer one, but nothing happens. The installer unpacks to "C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_12.11_Beta3_dotNET4" but after that it doesn't start the installer. I see that the mouse cursor is spinning for 3 seconds but nothing at all, tried Task Manager to see if the installer is there but no, no process from it . I've tried restarting the pc, deleting ATI/AMD folders but still nothing.

Because I thought there is a problem with 12.11, I tried changing again to 12.8 WHQL but yet again nothing happens to that one also, so I'm stuck without a driver now . How can I start the installer? Is there something that must be deleted in registry in order to make it work?

My specs are: windows 8 CP x64, AMD FX-8150 8 core Black Ed. 3.6 Ghz, 8gb ddr3 @1866 Corsair Dominator Vengeance, Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 motherboard with BIOS F15e beta, SSD Ocz Vertex 3 120gb, HDD Samsung 1TB 7200rpm, Gigabyte Radeon HD7970 OC Windforce 3x 3GB DDR5 384-bit, Corsair TX850M PSU

Windows 8 = stay away from beta

Uninstall your AMD driver software using 'uninstall a program' in your computer control panel. Express uninstall all AMD software including the installer. Reboot. Run Driver Fusion (free) > http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion  select AMD graphics, delete all it finds. Reboot. Install the 12.10 driver suite. Reboot

I've tried to install 12.10 but I encounter a problem everytime I want to install  the package "Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy". I've also reinstalled windows and same problem, no antivirus on, no firewall on, clean download and after that install and stuck.

Maybe that refers to you still using the 'preview' instead of the RTM version of Windows8.

Fixed, the problem was that I needed to install "12-10_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql_net4" and worked great.

Thanks for the answer and support.
