I am running windows 8 preivew on an hp envy.  I had the windows 8 preview driver located here installed and everything worked fine:

My machine did an update two days ago in which my graphics card was updated with the folowing driver:

The problem is my hdmi and vga output no longer work so I can no longer connect to a second monitor.

Does anyone know how to revert back to a previous driver?

I have tried installing the old driver but during installation it says my driver is already up to date and will not let me check the box to install the previous version.

You have two simple options and one hard one...

  • Use your OS' system restore feature to revert the system back to a time prior to the install of the driver update.
  • Download and install Driver Fusion, completely unistall CCC, reboot, run Driver Fusion to clean what was left behind, reboot, install the desired driver

  • Reinstall your OS
