Ok, here's my rig:

Graphics Card
- Radeon HD 6850

- Radeon HD 4550

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
12.10 (trying to install legacy drivers 12.6 for my 4550).

Operating System
Windows 8 x64

Issue Details
I have 2 cards, 1 from the 4xxx series and 1 from the 6xxx series, running Windows 8 x64. I can't install drivers for the 6850 & the drivers for the 4550. If I install the CCC 12.10 for the 6850, the 4550 becomes inactive in Windows. I can't reactivate it unless I rollback the drivers of my 6850 and use WDDM drivers 1.2 for the 4550 & WDDM 2.0 for the 6850 that comes with Windows 8. I'd like a way to install CCC 12.10 and also the drivers of the 4550 (12.6 Legacy).

In the device manager, if I try to right-click my 4550 and try to manually update de driver, it tells me that my drivers are up to date (because ccc 12.10 is installed), but the card is not active.

Any idea how to have both drivers installed on Windows 8 ?

Would this be on a laptop? If so, there is a laptop forum just for you...with this question answered/asked/answered/asked/etc.

People are having luck installing the drivers through the computer device manager. Choose update drivers for the 4xxx card and manually update by browsing to the new ( use these drivers  http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/catalystlegacywin8.aspx  ) downloaded driver file.
