Hi guys,

I have recently finished my build and having a few problems with my CCC suite.

Previously I was having serious issues with my pc but we found out the card was faulty and got it replaced with another one. (Sapphire HD 7850 OC 2 GDDR5 256bit).

So far the CCC suite has stopped working once, I restarted my pc and the issue hasn't returned as of yet. The second problem is when I installed my graphics card I used the 12.10 drivers instead of using the disc that came with it and when I go into the CCC control center --> Software update and look at where my driver version is supposed to display it says AMD Catalyst Not Available when it should display my driver version.

I have researched it and I have tried removing the graphics card drivers and installing them. I have done a complete HD wipe and reinstalled windows 7 and it still says unavaliable, is there perhaps another way?

Is this a serious issue because it is rather unsettling and would like to sort it out?

If this question has been answered already please can you be so kind and direct me to the topic as I have read through most topics without much luck or have missed it along the way.

I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

ASRock Z77 Extreme6

Core i5 - 3570k

Corsair Vengeance 4 x 2GB 1600Mhz

Corsair GS700

I have also tried uninstalling the drivers again but when I uninstall the screen just goes black yet I can still hear that my pc is still running behind the black screen and have to restart to contuinue uinstalling them. This is also a new problem I now have.

Is there any solution to this?

Installing new drivers:

Note: Any driver newer than 12.8 requires .net 4 to be installed. Please read

1. Uninstall old drivers using computer 'uninstall a program' in the computer control panel. You will see "AMD install manager"..click it and choose ' express uninstall all AMD software including the install manager.
2. Reboot
3. Run Driver Fusion (free..you do not need to buy the "Pro" version)  http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion . Select AMD graphics and delete all it finds.
4. Reboot
5. Install the new AMD driver suite
6. Reboot

Well I have tried the above and nothing has changed. Was I supposed to run driver fusion in safe mode cause I see a lot about running a driver sweep in safe mode? When I run driver fusion it does not delete all the driver files as I need to buy the Pro Version could this be possible why it didn't work? 

I also see that you said I must install AMD driver suite 6 does that come with the 12.10 drivers or would I have to download it separately?

6 is the next step...like 12345 and 6. Did you install the .net 4.5? Did you turn off all anti-virus/adware stuff before trying to install drivers? The driver suite includes everything. You can remove anything Driver Fusion doesn't get with Crap Cleaner..the registry cleaner section.

Can you open the CCC by right clicking on your desktop? Does everything run ok?

Yes I installed .Net 4.5. No I did not disable my anti-virus, Yes I have CC cleaner and cleared what driver fusion did not.

Yes I can, my CCC works fine but games run strange, such as in GTAIV for example distant NPCs are grey they have no textures, also distant objects appear to be translucent and a dotty grid of the object. Even on extreme graphics. Which never happened before.

The problem is when I go to software update tab and where you can see your driver version it says AMD Catalyst is unavaliable. I was told that is not good? is it serious?

I have never heard of that. If it runs good, don't worry about it..IMO.

Oh ok, I was told it was serious it was not picking it up.

Well I guess the issue is lies with the games cause my graphics is all messed up.
