I'm using a display with stupid non-optional overscan. I've found I can trick the display into working properly if I display it at 1080p @ 59hz on my nvidia card. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this on my new ATI card!
I've tried to change it to 59hz in the Catalyst control center, but this does nothing. The box above still says @ 60 Hz. Likewise using the windows monitor properties I can change the refresh rate, but still no effect! The Catalyst software also gives the option of 56 hz, but this changes the resolution!
I've tried using the guides to go into the registry to add a custom resolution, but this isn't displayed anywhere. I guess this only adds resolutions, not framerates.
Please help. How do I get a custom refresh rate so I can make optimal use of my display?
