I have the same problem this drivers are really buggy. We have to wait for new drivers but we don't know that AMD will release new drivers for such old cards like 4890. :/

I don't think so....this is a peer-to-peer gaming forum. if you want to contact AMD look in the FAQ section for contact details.

And...you posted in the wrong section of the forum. You belong in the 'extended support'.

this forum is listed as "Support Forum" on AMD's website.  it's set up by AMD to be a peer-run tech support forum for their products.  i don't know how where you get 'gaming forum' from?  just look at the gategories ... i don't see forums for FPS, MMO, etc.

i saw the Extended Support forum.  i debated which forum to post in, but ultimately chose this one.  the problem involves drivers and software.

and what if i had posted in Extended Support?  would i have received any support from you, or just beratement?  judging from your previous posts, i'd say the latter

Look at the top of the page. See Game? See AMD game forum: Rules and regulations?

If you had posted in the correct forum, then someone with that expertise/experience who checks that forum might have had a solution for you. That's why that forum is there. Also there are other people who have posted similar, saving you the time to post your question...and recieving the same answer.

If you want to contact AMD look in the FAQ section for contact information.

Good Luck

@haversham, stumped has 3014 posts and in all topics he protect AMD from users who have problems with them graphic cards or drivers. "Users are stupid, this is not AMD fault". Search for another forum. This is fanboys forum. Bye.

Merry Christmas.

The answer is still the same. AMD furnishes contact information to report reproduceable issues/errors with it's drivers. Look in the FAQ section for the correct region and report your issue. There is also local telephone numbers which you can use to ask your questions directly...if they are aware of a problem, then they will tell you and give some type of time-frame for a fix. This is the only way it will be addressed. Again, no answers will come from this forum, as it is basically a PC game based forum....no engineers here.

@stumped - I am not asking this forum to help resolve the issue, I am using it as a method of communicating with another user who has the same issue as I and who may have found help through other channels.

I understand what your saying...but somebody has to make the powers that be aware of the issue. You have  good documentation and this is what AMD is looking for. Give it to them > http://emailcustomercare.amd.com/

Indeed, that would be the right next step... but I am trying to acertain if haversham has already done that. For all I know, he has and AMD have told him they won't fix it as this is a legacy driver issue for unsupported EOL cards. I'm just doing my research properly first.
