With the risk of being accused of spamming...not intended though...I repost this issue here.
Heysan,
I bought a new PC with Radeon HD 7770 2GB installed.
With the PC having 16GB Mem as well it is a very powerful tool for me and basically I love everything about the PC and graphics card.
I am using the virtual worlds like Second Life etc and I have a few irritating graphical issues as these worlds are all about looks and feel.
I use 2 so-called viewers
The official SL viewer for SL (SL=Second Life)
and the Imprudence Viewer for all other virtual worlds.
It startet when I updated the AMD driver to the 12.10.
SL Viewer: No immediate errors but occasionally blinks in Graphics now and then.
Impr. Viewer: Menu blinking and some text/names not displaying.
Then I updated to the 12.11 Beta11 driver
SL Viewer: no blinks in graphics...but...Atmospheric shaders look like white paint...in the graphics prefs I could turn the atmospheric shaders off and that removed the problem...but not fixed ofcourse.
Impr. Viewer: The blinking menu fixed...but the same problem with atmospheric shaders as described above.
I then found the 12.8 driver and installed that and all problems were gone.
I hope the above can lead you towards a solution and give an idea what may be wrong in the newer drivers.
and...I did all the uninstalling suggested here in the forums using driver sweeper before installing the next driver.
I have:
Win 7 with servicepack 1
Net 4.5 installed
16 GB Memory
AMD Radeon HD 7770 2GB
...and lots of patience;o) (as long as you get this fixed in the new driver)
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!
