My system specs are an AMD 965 BE 3.9ghz-2250 NB/2250HT 1.35v cpu voltage, Gigabyte 890FX-UD5 2.0 bios, 8gb DDR3 GSkill ripsaws 1600 at 1333, Corsair 850 psu-H80 cooler, 125gb SSD AHCI w/trim, Windows 7 64bit home premium, Crossfire HD 7950 only days old with boost bios.
I am having a problem ever since installing catalyst 12.11 or any of the 12 series catalyst. My system no longer shuts down in 10-15 seconds but instead hangs for 47 seconds then shuts down. I have tried a clean system install and using other drivers in the 12 series range. Nothing has helped. The only resolution was going back to my HD 5870 with catalyst 10.8 but that isn't going to work with my HD 7950's. Any ideas what I can do to fix this issue?
There are a few other post on the internet about this but with no resolution that works for me. AMD customers with AMD platforms shouldn't have to deal with a driver determining system shutdown times. The 12.11 beta driver performance is at least awesome though. Any ideas?
