Hey there. I'm new to this forum so please excuse if I don't follow the general guidelines.

I just bought a new system for Eyefinity gaming, with two new BenQ 16:9 1920x1080 22 inches displays for a better experience. I already had a Samsung  1680x1050 22 inches display, which I still use as my center screen for Eyefinity.

My videocard is a Sapphire Radeon HD7970 2 GB and I use latest drivers Catalyst 12.10 on Windows 7 Pro x64.

So now obviously these are not the same aspects ratios, so it shows some distorsion when transitioning from one display to another, which I would like to remove.

What I want: set all screens resolution to 1600x900, considering my main 16:10 screen would have black borders that fills the gap between 16:10 and 16:9 display. I could then align my monitors and use the borders corrections correctly.

Now I know some 4:3 games with good drivers could still show in 4:3 without stretching (and with black borders) on a widescreen monitor, so I supposed it would be possible for another change of aspect ratio as well.

I already tried playing with image adjustments in My VGA Display (yes, still VGA) but it doesn't seem to do anything useful, at least if I'm using it correctly. I also tried with a DVI cable and in Flat Panel Properties, see if I could play with GPU scaling, but it's all greyed out.

Anyone could tell me if there's something to be done or if I'm doing something wrong? Thank you.

GPU scaling is grayed out if you're at the native resolution. Turn it down temporarily until you set it, then change it back.
