This is an odd problem, not sure if it is AMD's Catalyst or not.  Have not yet solved the issue. 

The problem occurs when I select 'restart' as opposed to shut down and then manually restart the PC.  If restart is selected my system powers down but when it comes back up the third monitor (the one connected to my graphics card's displayport, using a displayport adaptor (to DVI), that monitor does not come back on.  I must press the on button, not once, nor twice, but three times the charm and then it powers up and works fine.  

When I select shut down, and manually press the power button on my PC to restart it, then this third monitor behaves as expected and powers up just fine.  I do notice that this one lags behind the one connected to the HDMI port by several seconds.  But it catches up.  

I have my system set up as a dual boot with Windows 7 or Windows 8 option. (Win8 just does not support all my games).  It does not matter whether I boot up in Win7 or Win8 the problem is the same. 

Any ideas?  

These are identical LG E2040 newer monitors.  

I'm using a Saphire Displayport to DVI active adaptor. 

I have two HD6670's crossfired, on an AMD A10-5800K APU system. 

What's up with this annoying problem?
