Everytime i play any game, the screen freezes, then goes black, then it resumes after 10 seconds or so... this has been driving me nuts, this is a brand new card, and i'm tempted to return it if all fails...  I tried all the drivers even the beta one and no joy

Here's my details:

Graphic Card: Diamond Radeon HD 7770 Ghz edition not overclocked

Catalyst Driver version: Current is 12.10 tried 12.3 and up, even 12.11b

OS: Windows 7 64bits

Issue Details: See text above

Motherboard: ASUS P6T SE

Power Supply: Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN

Display device: Asus VE258Q with a DVI connector

Applications and Games: Star trek Online, DC Universe Online, StarWars the old republic

CPU Details: Intel i7 cpu 920 @ 2.67 Ghz not overclocked

Motherboard BIOS version:  1408 (latest)

System Memory Type&AmountG.SKILL F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3

Additionnal Hardware: 3 case fans - 2 HDD 1tb each

I also did the memory checks, tested the cpu, all works fine... this is not a Hardware problem but a software problem that causes the hardware to fail....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a faulty card to me. I suggest you try it in another computer and if it keeps on doing this, get it replaced.

I have the 7770 HD as well. From the moment I purchased my computer I have experienced this issue. I have 2 monitors and both flash black uncontrollably and frequently. There is no point playing or operating the computer. I purchased it from OutletPC and Ive never had a good experience sending a computer for repair (I dont want to be without a computer either).

I attempted to download drivers and it made the problems worse so I uninstalled them.

Daily I get a blue screen of death BSOD. It reboots my computer and hopefully wont ask me to "restore" my PC.

When the monitors flash, a Windows Popup says "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has Successfully Recovered."

Im just tired of the problem.

WIndows 8 64 bit, HD 7770, not sure what else is needed for help. Please help.
