AMD just released the Catalyst™ Un-Install Utility to help clean your system of any existing AMD Catalyst Drivers.  This will help you cleanly install new drivers.  Here is the link:

A thread was been created for it in the How-To & FAQs category.

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=444&threadid=163552&enterthread=y

I did lock that thread.  I have also created a News Announcement that I will leave up at the top of the forum for the next few days or weeks.

Does look great, no more DriverSweeper/DriverCleaner/DriverFusion nonsense. It is something which is longggggg overdue. Going to wait for some more feedback though to see if it is as thorough as the customary programs, and really doesn't touch the chipset drivers.

Can you tell me if the drivers are first uninstalled as usual, then this utility is run to get the remanents (as Driver Fusion was)? Or, do you run this utility to uninstall everything and that's it?

EDIT: To answer my own question, this utility does no more than remove what is normally removed using the computers "remove a program"> 'Express uninstall all AMD software and the installer'  feature. Running Driver Fusion displays the same amount of left-over entries.

Unfortunately, it just replaces having to go to add/remove (or 'remove a program')....it leaves the same amount of left-over files. Driver Fusion gets the rest, as usual.

Is there any explanation on what happens that causes my Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) install to be missing the Windows power options after using the utility? I've seen a few warnings now at two other forums with others also having this issue.

Hadn't noticed it until I read this post.

Also, after using the utility I can't open my Prefetch folder or delete LastGood folder and many other things (ones which require admin rights even though I'm using an admin account) and the Network folder is now called 'Computers and Devices' for some reason?
