I have Windows 7 x64 home premium and have just updated the AMD catalyst.

I see there is now Fuel Service, which runs in the background.

Can this be disabled? Or is it necessary for certain functions?

The Fuel Service is needed if you are doing any over clocking with our software. If you are not doing any over clocking then you can disable this service.
