When trying to run the new 13.1 driver on windows 8, I have an issue where both GPUs are 100% utilised when nothing is being rendered (idle on desktop)

I had the same fault with the 12.10's, but not with 12.11b

I have run the uninstall all software supplied by AMD and further driver deletion with driver fusion to ensure a fresh install, however this did not resolve the issue.

Hi, just to update, it ended up being some interaction between windows 8 and the driver as a OS refresh fixed it. i'm not sure what it was, but it didn't seem to be left over AMD drivers since I cleared them all before installing.

You got lucky then iceagecoming, as I tried a fresh install of windows 8 (64bit).. I tried installing CCC 13.1 instantly with a black screen. and a horrible reboot screen once I hard restarted the computer, and it said something like no graphics driver installed.

I had luck 1 time installing 13.1 with the crossfire link off.. then when i shut down and reattached the link, it went back to black screen. I gave up and went back to 12.10

I have the identical problem. You should report it to AMD, it seems to be a common issue.
