Hi,

It seems that the profiles should allow you to coonfigure the settings you want applied for a specific action.

I want to set up 2 profiles - one for normal PC opertation where I have 3 monitors running on 2 HD4890 cards (1 Asus and the other Saphire vapor-x)

Mon1: Sapphire HD4890 (Samsung Syncmaster 1680x1050)

Mon2: Asus HD4890 (Samsung Syncmaster 1680x1050)

Mon3: Asus HD4890 (Dell 1920 x1080)

In normal mode, mon 2 is primary (center) along with windows taskbar and icons.  In crossfire mode, mon 1 (left) gets disabled as only 1 cards ports are active.  Since mon 3 (right) has the highest resolution I want that to be the primary, but I want my taskbar to be on the 2nd monitor (center) so when in fullscreen mode I can still use browser or other activities.

It seems no matter what I do, I can't get the profile to store the state of desktops / disabled monitors or crossfire.

I get alll the settings the exact way I want them, then create the profile - but Crossfire always needs to be actively turned on or off.  It does appear to remember which monitor I've defined as primary when I switch to Crossfire, but it always puts my taskbar back on the primary monitor - and moves all my desktop icons to that as well.

I downloaded and installed the CAP crossfire protocols from AMD - but this has not changed anything.

I have seen there is an application profile as well, but when I try to set this up, it say theere is already a efault for the application I want to run - and I will overwrite it.  I don't get the feeling that I can set the crossfire to active there though - it seems more related to 3D settings.

Is what I want to do possible, or do I have to manually configure my desktop each time I activate Crossfire?  Seems a bit pointless having profiles if this is the case though ....

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium - an a Asus Maximus Formula MB with 8GB RAM and a Corsair HX850W PS.
