Issue Details
I haven't filled in the complete template because this seems like a relatively simple software issue. Apart from that my HD7850 works fine.
When I installed Fedora 18 in January, I also installed the Catalyst driver supplied by RPM Fusion. Back then it was akmod-catalyst-12.11-0.3.beta11.fc18 IIRC. Since then the Catalyst drivers were updated, right now I have akmod-catalyst-13.1-1.fc18.2 installed. I'm on x86-64 by the way.
However, according to the AMD Catalyst Control Center the driver version is still 9.01.8 which corresponds to Catalyst 12.11 beta11 according to the package change log. According to that change log, Catalyst 13.1 should correspond to driver version 9.012.
Did something go wrong with the installation of Catalyst? Is this likely to be a bug? I'm not sure if this forum is the right place for Linux driver support, but I don't know where else to go if I actually want assistance in solving my problem. There only is an unofficial AMD Linux Bugzilla and an option for "Linux Crew Driver Feedback", but those wouldn't help me I'm afraid. If not here, where else should I go for help?
