So i havent gone to the control centre for about a month before going there yesterday to find the following error message

"The appliction has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have just downloaded today from the AMD website the latest Catalyst Software Suite

So,yesterday,error message.Today downloaded 13.?.Is CCC not starting/opening?.Have you searched the error message?.Wait for one of the much more experienced users.

Yeah basically, no idea what CCC even is.

Your WinSxS seems to be f**********cked up. OS reinstall is highly suggested.

Note: It has nothing to do with CCC itself, at least if we look at the error message.

Yeah..cleaning junk from WinSxS must be done with extreme caution and even then backups wouldn't hurt. But since its already trashed, OS reinstall would magically fix all issues.
