I downloaded and ran the Autodetect exe file - but it doesn't seem to do anything - it just runs as a proces and consumes lots of cpu - but there is no end to it, no windows pop up and no interface.

All I can see is the proces running, without end.... and yes, have tried repeating the DL several times, with the same result.

 

Anyone have a solution?

 

FYI, I am running a preinstalled Win8 on a brand new laptop.

All the things it does can be done manually and with higher efficiency.

Great to know, but since I have not had the time to do that, I'd like it that the autodetect actually works
