Hi,

I have got a problem with Catalyst Control Center; I double clic the icons and nothing happens.

i uninstalled driver, used cCleaner, instaled new driver.
>nothing

I did it 5 time;

I tried to google that problem : I instaled .net framework 4, uninstaled driver, use cCleaner, instal driver.
>Nothing

What can I try now ?


Computer is a DELL STUDIO 1745

Graphics Card
- ATI mobility radeon HD 4650

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
- I take driver from AMD website : (file name) 13-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc.exe
Notebook graphic; Radeon HD series; Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx Series; Windows 7 - 64 bits.

- When I double clic ccc.exe, nothing happens.

The whole ATI software is crappy. 

It uses .NET Framework. Check if the common versions 2 and 3.5 are installed on your system. Then check if the .NET Framework is healthy. There is a checker tool. Search for it on Google.

Make sure you are up to date on the .netframeworks then re-install the driver suite. Also, after installing 4.5, go to windows update and download the updates for it.

thanks to both, I will check my instal of .net 4.5.

I installed .net 3.5 then I did windows update, instaled driver, reboot computer

Launch ccc

>nothing happens

any ideas ?

You should probably only use the drivers supplied by your laptop manufacturer for the following reason http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-28041SupportforATIMobility.aspx

Nope,what I'm saying is AMD and Nvidia recommend you use the mobility drivers supplied by your laptop manufacturer.due to the fact they are designed specifically for your laptops specific features.

The mobility drivers supplied from AMD and Nvidia are generic.

Here is a quote from AMD driver release notes.

"AMD Catalyst Mobility is a notebook reference graphics driver with limited support for system vendor specific features. When used with Windows Vista or Windows 7, the user experience may be limited or compromised."

Should I use a driver from 2010 ?

Dell doesn't list a driver less old than this one, what should I do ?
