Graphics Card

- ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7470 (2.5gz)

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History

-Cannot get catalyst to run

Operating System

- Win 7 64 bit Home premium

Issue Details

-I cannot get catalyst software to work on my computer. I can install it, but when I try to open it, I get the picture below. I am having an issue connecting an HDMI cable, as the screen gets 10% smaller. I have done my research and I need the catalyst software to change this- but it cannot open. My computer is pretty new so I don't know what else I need, or if there's software that I'm not sure about.

Picture of the error I'm getting:

I know the obvious answer is that I'm downloading the wrong driver, but I am 100% sure it's the right one. I have AMD Vision Control Center, but this does not allow me to change the size of my picture, and I cannot do it on my monitor either. When I search in my computer for the hardware that I have, it does not say Radeon HD, it just says HD7470. I really am hoping that the computer I bought was not falsely advertised to have a different video card than what I have....

Motherboard or System Make & Model

- include specific brand & model with output wattage

- a link to the manufacturer’s product page with specifications, or a picture of the unit’s label is helpful

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used

- ASUS 22" monitor (VE228)

Applications and Games

- n/a

CPU Details

- CM1740, processor = AMD A8-3820

Motherboard BIOS Version

- the BIOS version is displayed as soon as your system is powered on (ex: ASUS BIOS 1015)

- 8gb, not sure what type

So I technically don't have the video card described when I purchased it?

And thank you, I'll try it.

Edit: Now this one won't even open. Keeps trying to have me install it over and over.
