I came here to let you guys know, or even maybe you will give me advice, about AMD TressFX in Tomb Raider.

I have HD7870 and play TR on MAX, but in some Close Quick Cutscenes on Lara Head, the fps dramaticly fail about 15-20fps.

I know that this Hair technology is a new thing, and there will be probly new beta or whql driver optimized for this game, but tell me...do you guys have this same issue like me, or my graphic card choking from itself.

Please anwser.

yes it uses gpu to calculate the hair,i play the game with tressfx off and it looks nice,it just needs too much gpu for just her hair,maybe a 7970 it is up for the task or a crossfire config or a dual gpu otherwise it cuts performance down to half.

windows 7 x64 ultimate,phenom 955 ,785g/sb700,Sapphire hd6970,corsair 850 tx

It's a huge hit to performance even with two 7970's.  Not only does it take up a lot of GPU processing time, it also takes up a good chunk of GPU memory.
