Apparently they read the sticky...

I prefer the explanation of unicorns.  Or maybe fairies.  Not fairy tale fairies, but Torchwood fairies.  The nasty kind that suffocate people and steal children.  Messing with some random dudes PC should be a walk in the park for them.

What version of netframework do you have ? CCC will not work correctly without the correct version. Read about it in the "How to and FAQ" forum.

After reading the FAQ I updated my .net framework, and had no problems until today, I only have 1 option under the performance tab, rebooting twice brought all 4 back.

I found the solution. Under Device Manager, View-> Show hidden devices.  If you see an exclamation on AODDriverXXX and then see one or two more that are fine, this is the problem.

CCC does not remove the old non-plug and plag Overdrive drivers when you upgrade, even if you uninstall the older driver first.

Here is where the fun begins.  Go to the registry and search for all folders that pertain to the older numbered AOD drivers ie: AODDriver4.1, AODDriver4.0 etc etc.  You can not delete them untill you play with the NTFS permissions.

Change the Owner of the folder where the key resides, then give yourself Full Control.  You can then delete the keys / folders.

After reboot everything works flawlessly.

Nope, not at all.  If you just uninstall them, they come right back, with exclamation points and all.

My way kills them with fire.

It was the only way I could get my new card recognized by my computer....tried every way/thing for a good 2 days. I had deleted the hidden folders and they never showed up again. Once I followed that guide, drivers installed first try. Since then, when installing new hardware, I always run this. What I did that was different than your method, was enter the command prompt. They won't show up unless you do. You will probably see other 'greyed out' files that were left over from different programs as well.

I also went into the registry.  Nothing else worked.

I tried uninstalling in Safe Mode (your way sort of, Safe Mode shows all non active devices by default in Device Manager)  And they would just come back over and over again.

Nope...I had tried that too. Run the command prompt now....see what else comes up...and you can delete them with out going into the registry.
