I have been playing (downloading) the trial MSN, find the hidden items, games for a week.  They all worked well. 

Then this morning on one, there was a lot of flashing as it ended and it seems to have changed something. 

Now when I play one it is not a full size monitor display.  But a square in the middle of my monitor. 

What could have happened and how can I fix it?

I wonder what this trial MSN is. The only thing people call MSN is Windows Live Messenger, which is now unsupported (except in China) and has been replaced with Skype. You must be talking about something else.

Second question: Does this "analog" next to the monitor type mean it's connected through a D-SUB cable?

Sorry, it is Microsoft Games.  Needless to say in 16 years on pc I've never played a game so was just seeing what some simple games were.  You get an hour trial run without buying.

And I've always wondered myself what the analog meant.  Here are the spec's on the monitor.

I found the specs of the monitor. I'm interested in the type of cable you use to connect it to the PC. Knowing this helps me to see if GPU scaling can be used or not.
