I recently bought an AMD Radeon HD 7700 series card which has DVI, Displayport and HDMI ports.  I have two DVI monitors which I have connected - one directly to the DVI port and one through a displayport to DVI converter cable.  Under both Windows 7 and Windows 8 with the latest AMD drivers, the card does not recognise the monitor which is connected via the DVI port and I need to unplug the displayport monitor and then plug it back in again to get my two screens back.

Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
