Everytime i want to update my catalyst drivers in windows 8 i have to due a fresh OS install. If i try to uninstall with catalyst express uninstall it bsods during graphics driver uninstall. After i reboot several times if i try to re install a newer version it bsods during driver install again.

I've tried literally everything.  Updating bios es, safe mode, driver cleaners, etc and so far ive had to reinstall win 8 every time i want to install a newer catalyst version. It bsods with irq not less or equal error. 

Its incredibly frustrating and ive had it happen with two different cards. My system is stable ive tested memory power supply etc. Works totally fine if I dont ever want to update drivers after the initial install. 

My 6970 and now my 7970 both experience the same issue. In windows 7 I never had any problems. 

Ive also disabled safe boot etc all bios settings tested.

Let me add i run virtu mvp and ive tried disabling and uninstalling that as well before doing anything with amd drivers still no dice. The initial catalyst install goes just fine but if i want to uninstall and update after that its crash dump city.
