the HD 5570 came stock in my Gateway DX4320-09.  Been used for approximately 2-3 years for plenty of gaming.

Had put off updating drivers at all as all games still played well at nearly max settings.  With the arrival of Bioshock Infinite i decided why not and began downloading the new drivers.  At approximately 80% installation of optimal drivers PC is forced to an extremely low resolution, black screens, then blue screens.

In order to regain basic functionality I used F8 on start-up to select "low-res" mode.  Otherwise monitor displayed "Input not supported"

After safe start in low res I was able to up the res back to 1600x1200 although no games are runnable, Windows 7 Aero is disabled, and the problem re-occurs when trying to install drivers.

Is it safe to assume the card is fried? (and so might as well try baking it)

Or is this a driver issue?
