Follow the link in the topic summary to the release notes. Of particular concern is the following:

Catalyst Driver optimizations to improve performance in Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, and 3DMark

I think someone needs to be fired. 3DMark is not a game, it is a well known flawed program which means jack, yet AMD wastes precious man hours on it worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of man hours. AMD should strive to have the absolute lowest scores in 3DMark, because they should not waste time on it, not when developers release buggy games which AMD has to somehow smooth out.

This is a post to link to the developer notes as well as add my opinions, this is a user to user forum, none of the Catalyst Crew pokes around here.

Well i'm currently using the 13.x driver that you posted on another thread.

i'm guessing that's not the 13.4 driver right ? i didn't read the description when i download that driver.

And beside isn't it a standard procedure to uninstall the older driver first.

Wait wait, the improvement between 13.4 and 13.5 beta is different.

Does the 13.5 beta also include the improvement on 13.4 or not ?

Funy thing is they don't even mention the crossfire issue every other thread here is about since 13.1. Has nobody reported it or is it just too embarassing to be put into the release notes?

One would assume 13.4 WHQL includes all previous beta fixes, but who knows where 13.4 WHQL actually came from, the last 13.4 beta or some previous set due to the length of time WHQL certification takes. But as for new fixes in the new beta 1 and 2, it also may include detriment to other games, so unless you are having issue with a game specifically mentioned in the beta release notes, don't download it.

Or you can just ignore all this beta crap and go WHQL to WHQL, but you can't because they're a sort of "whenever we feel like paying Microsoft $1000 because we still support Windows XP you will get a WHQL package" thing now, and instead of waiting to release weekly betas they rush them out in a "LOOK WHAT WE DID!" fashion.
