Graphics Card
- Default stock ATI HD6950

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
- 13.4

Operating System
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533)

Issue Details
- After I installed amd_catalyst_13.5_beta2 I noticed load fan noise in my system
- I checked the AMD control center and noticed the graphics card running 80% and even some times over 90% on the desktop on win  UI high perfrormance
- I then deinstalled all AMD software and installed the default driver 13-4_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql, same problem 
- I never had this problem before installing the new drivers and dont understand how windows is using the VGA card so heavily simply on the dekstop
- This results in the graphics card running over 70 Celcius  
- I never had this problem before.

- MSI 870A-G54

- Can't remember the brand but its 800 watts supposed to be able to run Xfire

- HDMI 40" Samsung HDTV

- No applications running in the background

i have no such issues,but never installed a beta driver before 11.4,maybe it is also related to your tv conection from catalyst or bits and pieces remained from beta,i had a simillar issues last year and resolved it by installing an older version of catalyst after a reboot unistaled that and then installed the new version,beta drivers tend to be unstable for me also i use driversweeper after every catalyst uninstall.

Jup there appears to be a problem with, 13-4 with my 6950

I reverted back to 13-1 and all is running back to normal...

13.6 Beta

Seems all new drivers give the same problem, card runs @ 95% + and overheats on desktop.... anyone know whats going on with these new drivers?

When I revert back to normal drivers like 13-1 all is back to normal, oh and again i have done it all driversweep and the lot.

I have the same problem, but i just discorvered that when my internet connection is off the problem dissapers....weird!!!
