Graphics Card
Gigabyte HD7970 Ghz Edition (3GB)

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
none yet, did fresh windows installation

Operating System
win7 64, Netframework 4.5

Issue Details

when i installed catalyst for my new card it reverted it back to standard vga-adapter. driver cleaner and all that stuff didnt work, so i did a new installation of windows.

now the catalyst wont even let me select all of the components int the installer. only installationmanager and hdmi-audi, the video-driver, ccc and the rest isnt even there to select.

Motherboard or System Make & Model
ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP

Power Supply

silentpower 550

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used
usual stuff, i guess

Applications and Games

none yet

CPU Details
i5 3570

Motherboard BIOS Version
up to date

System Memory Type & Amount
2x4gb DDR3

Additional Hardware
SSD Boot Drive

Additional Details

bios is set to use pci for graphic card, so that should be fine. i cant force the driver by using device manager. it will show radeon 7900 series but reverts back to standard vga after the reboot.
