I've been using Mac's most of my life. Recently I decided to purchased a my first PC computer from Cyberpowerpc.com. So far, I'm loving my new, fast computer. After setting up and installing antivirus, software, and some games, I noticed that some of the drivers for my Graphics card and display adapter appeared to be outdated. My graphics card is:
HIS 7950 IceQ X² Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DVI/HDMI/2xMini DP (iPower)
Being that my Graphics Card is made by both HIS and AMD, I'm not sure what needs updating because both web sites have different drivers listed.
I've watched the videos on AMD's support page, explaning how to uninstall the old driver and then install the new driver. But after reading through some of the posts here on the AMD forums, I'm now more confused than ever! I don't want to incounter any problems, small or big, so to circumvent this, I was hoping that I could get some solid advice, helping me to update the right drivers.
Here is some software on my computer that might or might not cause problems during the unistall/install process.
- Windows 8 64 bit.
- AVG 2013 antivirus/firewall
- CCleaner (registry edit/cleaner)
And here is some hardware on my system:
- Intel core i7 3770k 3.5GHz
- 8GB Ram
- Gigabyte GAZ77X-UDEH Motherboard
- Samsung 250GB SSD
- Corsair CMPSU-850TX V2 Power Supply
- HIS 7950 IceQ X² Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DVI/HDMI/2xMini DP (iPower)
- LG IPS LED 21" Model 22EA53T (I also installed the driver off the Disk that came with the monitor)
- Presonus Firestudio 2626 External Firewire Audio interface
Here are some screen shots of drivers.

And finally, this is a screenshot taken from the HISDigital.com download page
If you made it down this far, THANK YOU! What drivers do I need and if I need more than one, what order should they be installed?
