I have a ATI Radeon 5450 Graphics card running on a Windows 7 32 bit system with 4GB RAM
I had drivers of 2010 vintage, using Windows update was able to get them to 2011. Now Windows says the driver is up to date!
On the AMD site, I searched for the drivers for this card, it directed me to download 89 MB Catalyst program, which I did. When run, it identified my card properly, but when installing the drivers it gave warnings, when I checked the log, it said driver not installed, because version of WIndows is not supported.
I upgraded the .NET to 4.5 and tried again after reboot, same problem
I used the Utilitiy to un-install all ATI drivers, rebooted and tried again, same problem
Now the PC was not showing the card installed!! Luckily a system restore brought the card back along with 2011 drivers
Any suggestion how to update to the latest drivers? Or simply stay with the 2011 version (version 8.x)
