So i have been trying to track down this freezing hardlock issue i have been having.

I am starting to think it might be the 13.4 driver. in fact i remember my first hardlock started happening at the end of april 2013. i just did a google search and 13.4 came out 4/24/13.

since I'm running an A10 5800K Apu, will installing to 13.1 cause instability with this apu?

//

so if i were to safely revert to 13.1 catalyst drivers? what would be the steps i take? only needing to revert the 13.1 catalyst drivers. the rest seem to be in order.

could i please get an accurate rollback procedure, so i can uninstall my catalyst 13.4 drivers and correctly install catalyst 13.1 drivers.

this might be a quick way to see if the driver is the issue like i think it is.

i don't know how to do this right now, ive been walked through this before and done it correctly.

but not with catalyst 13.4 down to catalyst 13.1, so i dont know if i need to uninstall the driver suite and install driver suite 13.1, or what actual driver to uninstall from 13.4 and the right one to install from 13.1./

Down load drive cleaner and delete all and everything AMD. Reboot then download 13.1. It will give you everything you need. Next time you post , you need to give more info on your setup see mine below. you will get quicker help.

Hi, I had a very similar problem and used "Driver Fusion" to delete everything AMD which it did well and easily and then reinstalled the Graphics driver.

There is a post in the FAQ section that explains how to do a 'clean install' of your drivers. It explains step by step. FAQ section has lots of info.

There is also a APU forum where people with APU's (like you) post their issues. It has many similar posts...with some answers/suggestions. Try reading some.
