Attempting to reformat the post...
Richland A8 6600K APU
No graphics card
Win 8 64 bit OEM
Catalyst version 13.4, 13.6 beta 2- no previous version installed (new PC build using MS basic display driver)
Power Supply Cooler Master RS-430-ASAA 430W
Crucial Ballistic Tracer 8GB DDR3
HP ZR24W Monitor resolution 1920 x 1200 DVI-D

It's not over clocked or running close to melting point!

CC-13.4 and 13.6Beta2 will install and operate (at least the multi-monitor and Win bench mark; which is all I tried do). After restart, Windows immediately crashes (actually after about 10seconds). Tried to install in compatability mode as Win7 and XP(SP 3), on resart no change.

AMD_Catalyst_Win 8.1_Release_Preview-13.15.1 installs and is stable (restarts with out crashing) but this doesn't install an AMD display driver (not sure if it should or not).

After reading many post on this forum.I uninstalled AMD drivers then d/l and installed Driver Fusion (updated replacement of Driver Sweeper); this didn't help either. I use a restore point with all current updates for Windows each time I try to install.

Auto install driver app doesn't recognise my OS.

The installation log shows no errors or failures.

Any opinions would be appreciated

Touch wood and all that...

Updated Bios (thought it was already up to date). CC 13.6 beta 2 is, at this moment stable after rebooting.

Previously I tried installing the 8.1 preview file before installing 13.6; I didn't get any CC software options available other than CPU and power. I started again and just installed 13.6 and now have a full suite.

Is it worth installing the 8.1 preview after the 13.6 beta for any reason?
