I use an HDMI Switcher to switch between my PS3 and my PC. My PS3 and my PC are connected via HDMI to the Switch, the Switch splits Audio and Video, audio via optical tos-link to my receiver and video via HDMI to my Display.
This works great, I just have a problem with my PC Sound, I can't use my 5.1 Setup with my PC. I can't get Dolby Digital or DTS sound, I can't even chage my audio device to 5.1 it just let me choose stereo. I think it's because my graphics card don't recognize the Switch as an 5.1 compatible receiver. On my PS3 I can just set Dolby or DTS and the PS3 just give it to the Switch and it works great.
Is there any possibility I can set 5.1 and windows just pass it ?
My graphicscard is a Radeon HD 5770, the 5.1 system is a noname with just an tos-link input.
Thanks for any help.
