I just purchased a new laptop featuring the Amd A10-5757m cpu.

Laptop model:

Acer V5-552-X418

I went to update my drivers and the current driver verison is 12.104.1.1 I reconigize this to be a old driver. Compared to my old laptop(A4-3300m), and my current desktop with a 7950 crossfire which both use 13.4 drivers.

When I run 3dmark 11 I score in the 1200's which seems low, on the result page it doesn't detect the graphics driver, and it says the cpu is unknown.

Is there a updated video driver available for this system?

Laptop mostly run customized drivers and that is the latest driver listed for the Aspire V5-552. Unlike the desktop you will have to go to Acer website for drivers.

Sometimes you might get lucky and get the AMD drivers to work, but unless you are having issues stay with Acer drivers.

The model isn't listed on their website for support. Graphics drivers are universal. Only time a laptop would have a custom driver is if it has more than one graphics option, ie a discrete card and intergrated graphics to ensure proper switching between the graphics for power saving and performance reasons.

I am having issues, the performance is low. Its sad when a A4-3300m out performs a A10-5757m in most games.

I know your trying to help, but I am looking for offical support.

Is the APU different in these, or only the color and stuff like that? Because if the APU is the same, the driver should work.
