Try doing a Windows 8 refresh, which will cause you to restore all of your other software, but you will have a Windows 8 only copy not an updated version of the OS. The refresh will give you a list of programs you will need to re-install.

The .Net stuff is part of Windows 8, so do a Windows Update after the refresh. Followed by installing of the CCC 13.8.

I have had issues after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 myself as well as several others. It seems for some systems the registry gets corrupted.

A option for Windows 8 where under PC Settings, General you can reload Windows 8. This will reload Windows 8 to your system takes 5-10 mins. This fresh copy of Windows will not be a upgrade like the previous version.

From here your login will be available. You will have a list of software that needs to be re-install. Just google Windows 8 refresh and you will get all your questions answered. It really works great and fast. Once you have your system up and running do a Disk Clean (Windows) to remove the old copy of Windows.

I cant even get PC Settings to work on this godforsaken OS called Windows 8.

I'm reloading my image from Win 7 and Mr. gates can go &^%$ himself.

I mean, why does it have to be SO HARD...7 never had all this hassle.

It just WORKED.

Thanks for your input regardless.

I still like the direction but they are trying to hard with one O/S for all devices.

But Ballmer is the jerk off that has ruined Windows.

Loaded 7 back on my pc.

Working like a charm.

I'll come back to 8 when they get all the bugs out of it.

Seems like it's always the video drivers on new releases............

Thanks again.
