I noticed the newest drivers available don't mention any support for Windows Vista. Does this mean AMD is no longer going to provide updates for it?

I realize Vista usage is now marginal at best, but I'm one of the few people out there that still uses it. I'm holding out for Windows 8.2.

There's no reason to wait for 8.2. Windows 8 is going to the crap direction and won't turn back. Just upgrade to Windows 7 or accept the crap (that will remain) and use 8.1 when it gets released in a few weeks.

And yes, Vista support is probably over.

You may as well upgrade to linux, though fglrx is not the best video driver at the moment. It's improving though.

I haven't seen anything saying AMD dropped Vista support. Unless something has changed Vista and 7 still use a unified driver.

This shows win 7 and win 8 using the same driver, and vista 64 still at 13.4

Yeah, I kind of figured as much. I love Windows 7, but upgrading isn't a huge priority at this time since Vista IMO isn't as horrible as some people have made it out to be. Windows 8 though is every bad thing that has been said about it.

Hopefully that isn't the case, but I had feared as much.

Linux is great, I love using it and I do use it. However I'm a gamer and giving up Windows isn't practical just yet. Wine is great, but it still falls short. Besides somebody elses Linux drivers are better. AMD needs to do a lot of work to bring their Linux drivers up to snuff.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

I'm kinda choked at no Vista support on the current WHQL version. Could really care less about the betas out there.

Fortunately for me, I have zero issues with 13.4 WHQL and my ol' 5870 on Vista x64.  Now if I had a 7970 and still using the super stable Vista I'd be really pissed.

#2: Athlon 64 X2 4200+, AGP 1950pro, Audigy 2, Asus A8V-D, 2gig ram,  Enermax 465P, Antec900case. Now on Win8.1pro cat 10.2

It upsets me as well. They supplied updated versions to Windows XP for over 12 years, yet they're cutting Vista off at 6 years.
